Places to visit and things to do

Glasgow, Edinburgh, Inverness, St Andrews and the east coast with its' pretty fishing towns, are about an hour and a half away. Stirling and the lochs and mountains of the Highlands are even closer. Our road network is good and suffers far less traffic than the south and the major centres can be reached by train as well.

For the visiting angler this is a must see. Around 3000 salmon ascend the ladder every year. There is an underwater viewing gallery. May, September and October are the best time to go, but there is always a chance of a seeing a passing salmon.
