Golfing events and activities are regularly hosted at Taymouth.

Taymouth Castle Golf Course

Taymouth Open

Takes place Saturday 8th July 2000. Books up very early so please contact the course. Handicap limit of 18. Categories include Scratch (Rams Head Trophy) and Handicap (Targe) as well as trophies and prizes for the best junior (under 21) and best local (Kenmore 400 Salver) Purse of £700

Ladies Open

Takes place Monday 31st July 2000. Scratch and Handicap prizes. Purse of £600

Mens Senior Open

Takes place Monday 19th June 2000. Also very popular so get in early. There are three categories: 55-60, 60-65, and over 65. Prizes for both scratch and handicap categories. Purse of £300.

Hogmanay Hooley

Come December 31st we are all ready for a good party. Many of the local hostelries hold events in the evening and towards the witching hour we gather in the village square for a bit of a bash

Salmon Opening Party

January 15th sees the official opening of the salmon fishing season on the River Tay. It is hosted by the Estate and the Kenmore Hotel and takes place in the village. In recent years it has been sponsored by "Hello!" Magazine.

Kenmore Day

This is a fun day out for the kids. Stalls games and events are laid out on the village green fro all to enjoy.

Highland Games

The Sports Association hosts a traditional highland games on the village playing fields. Events include most of the traditional heavy events such as tossing the caber and hammer throwing, as well as some local specialities. Visitors are welcome to take part. July 5th at 6pm

Salmon Closing Party

October 15th sees the end of the fishing season. Part of the river is kept open to the public with all proceeds going to the hatchery fund. At the end of the day we have another party!
